Brain Waves

An online survey of students and teachers in Bulgaria, Poland, and Italy on their perceptions of artificial intelligence and AI-generated content in education.

ONLINE SURVEY

The Online Survey „Brain Waves: The Transformation of the Mind Through AI“ aims to examine the perceptions, attitudes, and experiences of students and teachers from Bulgaria, Poland, and Italy regarding the use of artificial intelligence and automatically generated content in educational settings.

The study examined the extent to which students encounter content generated or manipulated by AI, such as deepfake videos, images, and text; how they perceive such materials; and to what extent they are able to distinguish reliable information from misleading or false information. The study also examined differences in the perception and evaluation of information created by artificial intelligence, depending on the students’ age and educational level.

At the same time, the study examined the perspectives of teachers from the three countries and their observations regarding the impact of AI on the learning process, critical thinking, behavior, and students’ emotional and cognitive responses. Particular attention was paid to the challenges and opportunities associated with the introduction of artificial intelligence and automatically generated content in education.

The results obtained made it possible to identify key trends, risks, and needs related to the development of digital and AI literacy among students and teachers in Bulgaria, Poland, and Italy, as well as the need to promote a more informed, responsible, and critical use of new technologies in educational settings.
